Jor-El Caraballo is an author, licensed therapist, Co-founder of Viva (a multi-state mental health practice) and a sought after expert in mental health. He received his B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington and M.A. and Ed.M. degrees in Psychological Counseling from Teachers College Columbia University.

He is passionate about de-stigmatizing mental health and self-care especially for marginalized communities, and is the author of The Shadow Work Workbook Self-Care Exercises for Healing Your Trauma and Exploring Your Hidden Self and Self-Care for Black Men: 100 Ways to Heal and Liberate, both of which are currently available for sale wherever books are sold.

His most recent work, Meditations for Black Men: Ten Guided Meditations for the Body, Mind and Spirit is also available for purchase.
